Cheryl
Lynn isn't quite sure who she is, but
she's pretty sure of what she wants to be. A warrior woman. A
bad-ass mamajama.
Perhaps an earth goddess extraordinaire. She spends her days
abusing keyboards
and screaming at computer screens while she waits for her
cult following
to finally show up.
She changes her mind more often than extras in rap videos change thongs.

Well, this is depressing.
Then: Because while I am thoroughly impressed by the burgeoning feminist movement in the comics industry and I hope that feminist fans and creators achieve all of their wonderful goals, I don't feel like I am a part of it. I don't feel like my goals are the same as theirs.
Now: I was right.
I can't roll with the feminist fan movement (or the feminist movement in general). Because when issues pop up pertaining to black women specifically, the response is to either ignore it completely or dismiss it as a superficial non-issue. So there's no point in even opening up a dialogue in the first place. Why bother if the response is going to be indifference or derision?
