Cheryl
Lynn isn't quite sure who she is, but
she's pretty sure of what she wants to be. A warrior woman. A
bad-ass mamajama.
Perhaps an earth goddess extraordinaire. She spends her days
abusing keyboards
and screaming at computer screens while she waits for her
cult following
to finally show up.
She changes her mind more often than extras in rap videos change thongs.

You down with OOC?
Y'know what I find funny? That Storm is only accused of being out of character when her scenes are written by a black man. How weird is that? I wonder what the fan response would be if Storm was written by a black woman.
Of course, no point in wondering about something that doesn't seem likely to happen. Maybe there just aren't any black women with an interest in writing about the character? I have to admit, it's been a long time since I had any interest in Storm. I don't even read Black Panther or [insert adjective] X-Men. Maybe black female writers feel the same way?
Y'know what else is weird? DC and Marvel push Storm and Vixen as their top black female characters and I have zero interest in either of them. None. Give me Knight and Waller over them any day.
That said, it would be interesting to see what Abouet could do with Storm...and how the fans would react to what she did.
ETA: Maybe I'm just not interested in Storm and Vixen because I'm not the intended audience for the characters? Maybe Storm and Vixen are supposed to be no more than exoticized others? No skin off my nose, since I couldn't care less about either one.
